Collectively, APN's managerial staff has over 100 years of managerial experience in recruitment, sales, service, operations and quality management spanning automotive, construction, health care, financial services, IT, retail, call-centers, package goods, clothing and a wide variety of other industries.  Our managers are experts in their fields, and have served in senior executive positions in Sales, Service, Retail Operations, Finance, Marketing and Total Quality Management / Lean Six Sigma.

Harriet O'Connor - CEO

Harriet Illingworth-O’Connor is an experienced managerial professional having served more than 20 years in a variety of leadership and operational roles, including Divisional VP, SVP and Board Director for Kantar Operations USA, Research International , Research Resources and Winona Research

Harriet has a diverse background including managing and directing all aspects of operations. Her responsibilities have included planning and meeting several million dollar budgets, staffing, marketing, training, production and quality goals. She has led teams of up to 3,000 employees and professional managers.

After leaving Kantar, Harriet joined APN bringing her skills with operations and process management to further APN’s growth potential. At APN, Harriet serves as Chief Executive Officer and leads the company’s marketing campaigns, office management, process development and Healthcare Recruitment.

Kevin O'Connor - COO/CFO

Kevin O’Connor is a graduate of Arizona State University , with a BS in Accounting. He served as a CPA with a local automotive dealership in Phoenix, AZ for several years before founding APN Staffing and Employment Solutions / Automotive Personnel Network in 1991. In December 2009, he helped APN launch its Healthcare Staffing Services Division.

Charles Shillingburg - VP Marketing/ Bus. Development

Charles Shillingburg is an expert in Operational Excellence, Sales and Service delivery, Marketing and Branding.  Since 1975, he has served in senior executive positions in Sales, Marketing, Analysis and New Product and Service Development at leading corporations, including   J.D. Power & Associates , Noxell Corporation ( Cover Girl Makeup ) and  Fruit of the Loom .  Recently, he served as President of  Insights & Solutions LLC .  In this role, he acted as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Consultant on Retail Operations Improvement for  Nissan North America Hyundai Motor of America , Mazda Motor America and individual dealerships.  His customer focused, benefits based operational approach has been adopted as the basis for global retail process improvement programs by leading automotive manufacturers and individual dealerships as it has proven effective in significantly reducing Transaction Times and improving Close Rates, Sales, Profits and Customer Satisfaction. He has authored numerous articles in leading publications on retail operations improvement and co-authored Driving Operational Excellence: Successful Lean Six Sigma Secrets to Improve the Bottom Line.

Charles earned his Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Latin American Studies from Arizona State University.  He studied Cash Flow Management at Stanford University and was certified by Villanova University as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Alliance for Excellence (SWAE) and Scottsdale Alumni Chapter Leader for the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
